THE HISTORY OF GRAPEVINE FARMS
Grapevine Farms is a dream come true. While taking business courses offered at SUNY Cobleskill and writing our business plan, we happened upon an old farmhouse. Built in the 1850′s and known to many as The Mauhs’, the house had been left vacant by a previous owner.
Despite the state of disrepair, we fell in love with it. With many, many hours of hard work and the help of all of our family and friends, we opened for business on October 12th, 2002 – one week after we were married. We have continued to add to our product line as well as to the size of the building. Our staff of warm, friendly and caring individuals has also grown.
We are very proud of what has been accomplished at Grapevine Farms. Please stop by and visit, we’re sure you’ll love it too.
You will be greeted at the door with the sound of soft music and the smell of freshly baked, homemade cookies. Be sure to try one of our chocolate jumbles. It’s a local cookie favorite which originated here in Schoharie County. Each of the rooms in our farmhouse are themed, the displays change often and new products arrive daily. So, each time you visit us, you’ll find something you haven’t seen before! You’ll also find that Grapevine Farms only features the best in New York State Wines and we offer daily tastings too.
We strive to provide our customers with not only quality products, but a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff members at Grapevine Farms are more than employees, they are “family”. Together we know how important our customers are and we will do all that we can to make your experience unforgettable. We’re open seven days a week and are conveniently located in Cobleskill on Route 7, just west of I-88, Exit 22.
